The Children’s Room houses a large collection of materials for infants, toddlers, and preschool students through approximately grade 6. The newest materials are displayed in the library lobby.

1,000 Books before Kindergarten
Launch your child’s love of life-long reading! Join the 1,000 Books before Kindergarten program and encourage the development of your child’s early literacy skills by reading with your child.
It is easy to participate! Randolph cardholders may sign up for the program at the library. You will receive a book bag with all the materials you need to begin. You will also receive a log to keep track of the number of titles you read. Bring it in when it’s complete and get a new log, or download one here.
No need to be scared of the numbers! Just think of it this way: If you read one book every night for 365 days, you will have 365 books completed in a year. In 2 years you will have read 730 books. You will have totaled 1,095 books in 3 years!
Book Clubs for Kids
Join us on a reading adventure as we discuss a different book each month. Books are provided and may be picked up at the Circulation Desk. Please read the book before the meeting. Registration for all sessions is required and is limited to 10 participants. All meetings will be held in the library. Registration ongoing, if space is available. Please contact the library for details.

Services to Preschools and Kindergarten Classes
We are available to present programs at local preschools and invite preschools to visit the library for tours and storytime programs. All kindergarteners in Randolph public schools visit the library on a field trip and are eligible to receive their very own library cards.
